The first national prevention campaign against domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence , entitled "Equality Prevents Violence ," was launched on November 11. This initiative, promoted by the Federal Council and supported by the Ticino State Council, invites the entire population to unite against violence and in favor of equality.
Dear friends,
national prevention campaign against domestic, sexual and gender-based violence , entitled “ Equality prevents violence ” , was launched on November 11th
This is an initiative promoted by the Federal Council and also supported by the Ticino State Council, which invites the entire population to unite against violence and in favour of equality.
AGNA wholeheartedly supports this campaign and shares its objectives.
However, we want to emphasize an aspect we believe to be fundamental:
the responsibility of each of us . Violence does not arise only from extreme acts, but often from words, attitudes, or everyday behaviors that can hurt those around us.
For this reason we invite all parents, fathers and mothers to:
reflect critically on their own behaviour , to ask themselves:
- Do my words really respect the person in front of me?
- Do my actions contribute to creating a climate of equality and respect?
- Am I doing my part to prevent violence, even in its most subtle forms?
Only through this awareness can we nip violence in the bud and build relationships based on mutual respect.
We encourage you to share the campaign with your friends and acquaintances, or through your own social media channels, and to promote discussion within your organizations. Together, we can contribute to a lasting cultural shift, where equality becomes the foundation for a society free from violence.
